Last.fm keeps a permanent record of everything you listen to and turns it into charts and stats you can check any time. It works great with Spotify, but Deezer is trickier. Last.fm's settings page has a one click connection for Spotify, and there is no equivalent one click Deezer connection sitting next to it. You can still do it. You just need a scrobbler app in the middle. Here is how.

The short version

Last.fm will not read Deezer directly. Instead you install a scrobbler that watches what Deezer plays and sends it to Last.fm. On a computer, the Web Scrobbler browser extension handles Deezer in the web player. On Android, Pano Scrobbler can capture Deezer. iOS is the most limited.

Desktop: Web Scrobbler (browser)

If you listen to Deezer in a browser, this is the easiest route.

  1. Install the Web Scrobbler extension for Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
  2. Open the extension and sign in to your Last.fm account to authorize it.
  3. Make sure Deezer is enabled in the extension's list of supported sites.
  4. Play something on the Deezer web player. It should appear in your Last.fm history.

Web Scrobbler only works while you listen in the browser, not the desktop app, so keep your Deezer playing in the tab.

Some people report the Deezer web player not scrobbling reliably. If nothing shows up in your history, check three things: the extension is enabled for the Deezer site, you played a full track instead of skipping through, and you are signed in to Last.fm inside the extension itself.

Android: Pano Scrobbler

On Android, Pano Scrobbler can pick up Deezer using the notification listener. Android is the main case for this app, though it now runs on Windows and Linux too, so it is worth a look if you use the Deezer desktop app rather than the web player.

  1. Install Pano Scrobbler from the Play Store.
  2. Sign in to Last.fm inside the app.
  3. Grant the notification access it asks for, which is how it reads what is playing.
  4. Enable Deezer in its app list, then play a track to test it.

iOS

iOS is the hard case. Apple limits the background access these tools need, so there is no clean, reliable Deezer to Last.fm scrobbler on iPhone. If iOS is your only device, this may not be workable, and it is worth checking Last.fm's current help pages for any new options.
