How to Transfer a Spotify Playlist to Deezer

Switching to Deezer, or just running both, does not mean rebuilding your playlists track by track. Deezer can pull them across for you, and if that route does not work out, a couple of free tools do the same thing by matching each song in Deezer's catalog. Here is how to do it and what to watch for.

The short version: try Deezer's built in transfer feature first, because it costs nothing and does not need another account. If you cannot find it, use Soundiiz or TuneMyMusic. You connect your Spotify account and your Deezer account, pick the playlists you want, and the tool recreates them on Deezer. Free plans usually cover a playlist or two at a time, which is enough for most people.

Option 1: Deezer's own import

Deezer has this built in. It publishes a transfer playlist feature page, the option is reachable from Deezer's own settings, and it can import playlists from Spotify and other services. Try it first, since it saves you signing up for anything.

1. Open Deezer and go to your settings.
2. Look for the transfer or import playlists option.
3. Pick Spotify as the service you are coming from and sign in when prompted.
4. Select the playlists you want and confirm.
5. Wait for it to finish, then open the new playlists in your Deezer library.

One honest caveat: exactly where this sits in the app can move between versions and regions, so the menu name may not match word for word. If you cannot find it at all, the third party tools below still work.

Option 2: Soundiiz

Soundiiz is the most popular third party option and handles Spotify to Deezer cleanly.

3. Choose Transfer, pick Spotify as the source, and select the playlist you want.
4. Confirm Deezer as the destination and start the transfer.
5. Give it a minute, then check the new playlist in Deezer.

The free plan transfers one playlist at a time. Paid plans unlock batch transfers if you have a lot to move.

Option 3: TuneMyMusic

TuneMyMusic works much the same way and is a good backup if Soundiiz gives you trouble.

1. Open TuneMyMusic and choose Spotify as the source.
2. Connect Spotify and pick the playlist or paste its share link.
3. Choose Deezer as the destination and connect it.
4. Start the transfer and review the results.

What to check after the transfer

• A few tracks may not match if they are not in Deezer's catalog or are titled differently. Most tools show you a list of anything skipped.
• Playlist order usually carries over, but double check.
• Local files from Spotify will not transfer, since they are not streaming tracks.
