What Is a Spotify Profile Picture Viewer?
A Spotify profile picture viewer is any tool or method that lets you see a Spotify user's profile photo at full size — beyond the small thumbnail shown in the app. Spotify displays profile images as small circles in most contexts, which can make it difficult to see the full detail of a profile picture.
People use profile picture viewers to get a better look at a friend's profile photo, confirm someone's identity before following them, or save a copy of their own full-resolution profile picture. The good news is this is entirely possible using the Spotify web player and some simple browser tricks.
Method 1: Spotify Web Player (Easiest)
The simplest way to view a Spotify profile picture at a larger size is through the Spotify web player at open.spotify.com.
Steps:
Go to open.spotify.com and log in to your Spotify account.
Search for the user whose profile picture you want to view, or navigate to their profile URL directly. (Need help finding them? See our guide on how to find someone's Spotify profile.)
Right-click on their profile image and select "Open image in new tab" (Chrome/Edge) or "View image" (Firefox).
The image URL in the new tab will be a Spotify CDN link (i-scdn.co). You can often get a larger version by modifying the size parameters in the URL. If you don't know the user's profile URL, you'll first need to find them — see our guide on how Spotify usernames work.
Method 2: Browser Developer Tools
If right-clicking doesn't give you a high-resolution image, you can use your browser's developer tools to find the full-resolution image URL directly from the page source.
Steps:
Navigate to the user's Spotify profile in the web player.
Press F12 (or Cmd+Option+I on Mac) to open developer tools.
Click the Network tab, then filter by "Img" to see all image requests.
Reload the page. Look for image requests from i.scdn.co — these are Spotify's CDN-hosted profile images.
Click on the image request and copy the URL. Paste it in a new browser tab to see the image at its native resolution.
Method 3: Music Profile Viewer (Your Own PFP)
If you want to see your own Spotify profile picture at full resolution, Music Profile Viewer is the fastest option. When you connect your Spotify account, your profile image is displayed at full size on the profile overview screen.
This works because the Spotify API returns your profile image URL at its highest available resolution when you're authenticated as the account owner. You'll see your photo at the actual uploaded resolution rather than the downscaled thumbnail the app usually shows.
Want to see your full Spotify profile — including your profile picture at full size, your follower count, and your top artists? Music Profile Viewer is free — connect with Spotify and your full profile loads instantly.
How to Save a Spotify Profile Picture
Once you have the full-resolution image open in your browser (via any of the methods above), saving it is straightforward:
- Desktop — Right-click the image and select "Save image as..." to download it to your computer.
- Mobile — Long-press the image and select "Save image" or "Download image" depending on your browser.
- Direct URL — If you have the CDN URL, you can share it directly — Spotify's image CDN links work publicly without authentication.
Keep in mind that you should only save and use profile pictures for personal, non-commercial purposes and with respect for the other user's privacy.
