Spotify Account Finder and Checker
To check that a Spotify account exists, open its profile address. If a profile loads, the account is real.
- Start with a profile link, username or user ID. A link works as it is. For a username, add it to the end of open.spotify.com/user/
- Open the address in a browser or the Spotify app.
- Read the result. A profile means the account exists. If nothing loads, check the spelling or ask the person for their profile link.
A display name won't work here, because the address uses the username, not the display name. With only a name, use the search below.
Spotify Profile Search by Name
- Open Search in the app or at open.spotify.com.
- Type the person's display name. On mobile, tap enter to show the filters.
- Choose the Profiles filter to see only user profiles (Spotify Support).

How to Get Someone's Spotify Profile Link
Ask them to open their profile, tap the three dots, choose Share, then copy the link. They can also choose Show Spotify Code for you to scan with your phone camera (Spotify Support).

How to Find a Spotify Username
It's the text after "/user/" in a profile link: in open.spotify.com/user/wizzler, the username is wizzler. Spotify calls it the user ID (Spotify for Developers). To find yours, share your own profile, copy the link, and read the end of it.
Is There a Spotify Profile Search Engine?
